Anchol — Help
Questions or problems? Email euleraibot@gmail.com. You can write in Bangla or English.
What you need
- Two iPhones, both on iOS 17 or later: yours and your child's.
- Family Sharing, with your child as a child member. On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Family. If your child has no account yet, create one there with Add Member → Create Child Account. Your child's iPhone must be signed in to your child's own Apple Account.
- Your own Apple Account password. You'll need it on your child's iPhone at step 4.
- Internet during setup.
Setup, step by step
On your iPhone (steps 1–3): open Anchol, choose “Me (parent)” and you can start the 14-day free trial (no card needed). If you add your child's name, step 3 shows a QR code.
On your child's iPhone (steps 4–8):
- Install and open Anchol, and choose “My child”.
- Step 4: Apple asks a question in English. Tap Continue (not Don't Allow), then enter your own Apple Account password, not your child's. That way your child can't delete Anchol.
- Step 5: choose your child's age band. Instead of typing the name, you can tap “Scan from your iPhone” and scan the QR code on your iPhone. The code holds only the name; nothing goes over the internet.
- Step 6: set a parent PIN. Keep it different from the phone's passcode.
- Steps 7–8: check a few of Apple's settings (such as the Screen Time passcode); then Anchol checks that protection is working.
How does “more time” work?
When a site or app is closed, your child can tap “Ask a parent” on the block screen. The request is kept on that phone; nothing is sent to yours. Your child shows you the phone, you open Anchol on it and enter your PIN, and give 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or until bedtime. When the time is up, it closes again by itself.
If you're stuck
In the app, tap “Stuck? Get help” for fixes to common problems. The most common ones:
- Approval was cancelled: tap Continue on Apple's English question, and enter your own password.
- “This iPhone isn't using a child account”: on your child's iPhone, the name at the top of Settings must be your child's Apple Account, and your child must be listed in your Family.
- Another parental app: delete it, or switch off its access in Settings → Screen Time.
- Screen Time is off: open Settings → Screen Time and turn it on. Anchol can't be used on an iPhone managed by a school or work profile.
- Something else: restart the iPhone, check that you and your child are both signed in to iCloud, and try again.
- Forgot the parent PIN: delete Anchol on your child's iPhone (it needs your password), install it again and set a new PIN. Your rules need setting again too.
Still stuck? Email euleraibot@gmail.com with the step you're on, what the screen says, and a screenshot if you can.
Removing Anchol
Delete Anchol on your child's iPhone like any other app. iOS then asks for a parent's Apple Account password; your child can't delete it alone. Deleting it lifts all of Anchol's rules. To cancel the subscription: on your iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Do you collect my data?
No. There's no account and no tracking, and your child's browsing and app use never leave the phone. Details: Privacy Policy.
